Spanish Juveniles Champions Choose Anita Flavina Dance Shoes

My name is Katya Draganova. I am 10 years old, and I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. When I was 3.5 years old, my mother brought me to ballroom dancing. At first, I was excited only about dancing in beautiful dance shoes with heels.  Since then, I have become a dedicated ballroom dancer. I cannot imagine my life without dancing. When I dance, I feel happy, confident, I feel like a star on stage. I dream of becoming a World Champion in this sport.

For the past two years, I have been training at Bailacosta Marbella Dance Academy. Under the guidance of my coaches, Valentin Milev and Celia, my dancing skills have improved significantly.

As of today, with my partner Theo, who I have been dancing with since February 2023, we have achieved the following:

• Champions of Spain in Latin program 2023, Juvenile 1
• Vice Champions of Spain in Standard program 2023, Juvenile 1
• Vice Champions of Spain in 10 Dance 2023, Juvenile 1
• 4th place in the Spanish Championship 2024 Latin program, Juvenile 2
• Two-time holders of the Spanish Cup in Standard program 2023 and 2024

Dancing is my passion, and I am committed to achieving my dreams and continuing to grow as a dancer.

Katya and I are Juveniles 2 (first year)

We won the Spanish Copa de España de standard and are currently fourth in the Latin dance championship.

I always moved when I heard music, and when a girl asked me to be her partner I said yes. I was 6. From the moment I learnt how to move my body to music I have enjoyed it greatly.

When I dance, I feel happy, energized, like fire. Also strong, and I know I am doing the sport perfect for me.

When I win, I feel proud like I am on top of the world! All thanks to my coaches Celia and Valentin from Bailacosta. Without them coaching me, it wouldn’t have happened.
