When Stefano and Dasha chose to become ambassadors and designers of Anita Flavina Dance Shoes it was an absolute joyous moment in my life. I knew the stars were aligning and together we would be responsible for enabling every dancer in the world to step out and dance in the shoes that the world champions have spent many hours, days and months designing.
Every little detail, every millimetre of padding is at the correct place. The level of flexibility to enhance the flow of the dance while still giving maximum support to your feet. Stefano and Dasha have given their new role as Anita Flavina Dance Shoe designers the same passion, dedication and patience they give to their dance. They have worked tirelessly and consistently with Anita and Anita Flavina’s fourth generation Italian dance shoe artisans to create the perfect dance shoes not only for themselves but for Latin dancers all over the world. Dancers at all levels can experience the same stability, comfort and style in their dance shoes and enhance their dancing in the same way as Stefano and Dasha.
I first met Stefano and Dasha nearly three years ago in a dance studio in London when I was having my first ever dance lesson. Each day for over a week I had lessons at the studio, during this time I saw the immense passion, dedication and patience of one of the worlds champion couples pursuing their life’s ambition and turning dreams into reality. This really opened my eyes to the dance world at it’s highest level. During this period Stefano I would chat about the importance of good dance shoes. I was privileged to be gifted front row seats at The Royal Albert Hall during this time where I was overcome with emotion to see Stefano and Dasha step out and compete in the World Latin Dance Championships. Over time we became good friends with an appreciation of each other’s attributes. I guess it was destiny, unknown to either of us at this time the foundations of our announcement today had been laid.
I have always listened to what our dancers are looking for in the performance led technicalities of dance shoes and I have worked with our fourth generation Italian artisans in hand crafting what dancers have rated ‘the best and most comfortable dance shoes ever.’
But I knew there must be more that we can achieve for our Latin dancers, along with my desire to bring a vogue element into dance shoes and world dance marketing. My ambition was to embrace and celebrate the splendour, glamour and glory of the dance world.
